Dr Katie Andrews is a highly experienced Clinical Psychologist with over 20 years experience working in clinical psychology settings. Alongside her private work at Brightside Psychology, Katie also works within NHS mental health services. She spent a number of years working as a Consultant Clinical Psychologist in Perinatal Mental Health, and now works in South Staffordshire supporting adults with a wide range of psychological and emotional difficulties.

About Katie Andrews
Katie offers a warm, compassionate and evidence-based approach to therapy, creating a therapeutic space where clients feel safe, understood and supported to make meaningful change.
Katie has extensive experience working with adults experiencing trauma, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, attachment-related difficulties, grief and maternal mental health concerns. She is particularly interested in understanding how earlier life experiences and relationship patterns can continue to influence emotional wellbeing and coping styles in adulthood.
Her therapeutic approach is integrative and tailored to the individual needs of each client. Katie draws upon a range of evidence-based models including EMDR, Schema Therapy, CBT, psychodynamic approaches and attachment-informed therapy. She works collaboratively with clients to develop a shared understanding of their difficulties and to support lasting psychological change.
In addition to providing therapy, Katie also offers psychological assessments, clinical supervision and team consultations. She has worked across a variety of NHS and specialist mental health settings throughout her career and brings a depth of clinical knowledge and experience to her work.
Katie is HCPC registered and offers in-person appointments through Brightside Psychology in Codsall.
